Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. RARE and sought Original 1977 BRITISH first pressing in fully laminated cover of a highly rated PROGRESSIVE rock album...featuring elegant majestic keyboards and guitars in quality original compositions, all so well performed ...

This recording is brimming with mellotron textures, keyboards and organ to make you delighted and variant time signatures which remind one very much of Gentle Giant and early Genesis. ENGLAND have written some real classic prog songs and after a few listens you will be hooked on their brilliance. To be sure this is a GREAT album of progressive music in the vein of 70's Genesis and Yes. Nice use of mellotron, piano and other keys throughout, interesting drumming a la Bruford, and a melodic bass that doesn't get lost in the mix. Great vocals and harmonies, occasionally sung falsetto, growled or whispered for dramatic effect. The lyrics are more in the Genesis vein of story-telling, sometimes humorous in a tongue-in-cheek manner. A couple of the vocalists remind of Triumvirat's Helmut Kollen and Genesis' Tony Banks. But I also passing similarities to Yes' bass player Chris Squire, which adds to the Yes-like harmony vocals occasionally heard....

HOWEVER...despite the references to the prog masters, this group has a very unique sound of its own, and they take an original path with their lyrics and varied lead vocals. As an example, "Three Piece Suite" (with it's Yessy "A Venture" vibe in the first section) features three different lead vocalists in its three different sections. Overall, a very good and complete album -- obscure and excellent!

CONDITION: The cover: fully laminated delicate British cover is near "EX" (excellent) having a bit of uneveness at bottom that you don't so much notice as feel, otherwise clean, no split seams, no writing...  

The vinyl: is very clean over both sides "EX" (excellent) playing perfect but there is an easy slight wave, not very pronounced, but slightly there...play graded perfect...and clean labels...
