CINDY & THE BARBI DOLLS
Isn't Showbiz Wonderful? 7"-EP
(Not Major Prod, 1979)
"This cover looks like the back of a Linda Ronstadt album" quotes the fold-out sleeve of this single and it's probably therefor that Mario Panciera calls the one and only release by this british DIY / new wave / post punk band from Cornwall "a surprisingly good platter with hints of The Desperate Bicycles, early Human League and even Joy Division. Well-worth investigating to New Wave/post-punk collectors."
Let me 2nd this and add (as if it matters) that the quiet, introspective "In Silence" has been in my top-20 of the DIY genre for a loong time. Only sell this since I found a mint copy after years. Compiled on Chuck Warners Messthetics series.
