Description
Baby Grand Records (SE1071) 1977 self-titled U.S. press album release from CIGAR BAND. The label had quite a few releases from 1977 to 1979. It has been pretty much established that it was a tax write-off and the result was a lot of obscure releases that ranged from mediocre to genuinely superb. The collectors market reflects this with a handful regularly attracting top dollar and others consistantly solid sellers. I don't know much about CIGAR BAND but it is produced by RONALD FAIR whose other releases(solo and as BILL OF FAIR) on the label are among the desired by jazz funk collectors. The LP has had some $500+ listings from reputible dealers.
