Description

TIME TO RETURN TO 45s!!   The problem that one usually encounters when collecting good rock-n-roll 45s from the 1950s is trying to find them in nice condition - Not here!  This is a reasonably priced original 1958 U.S. Chess Records 45 RPM record containing the rock-n-roll classic anthem titled 'Johnny B. Goode' backed with 'Around & Around' from rock-n-roll pioneer Chuck Berry.   It is Chess Records U.S. catalog number 1691, blue Chess Records labels with silver print.  This 45 is a GUARANTEED 1958 ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION OR A LATER COLLECTOR'S PRESSING.   Condition of this record is considerably better than is usually seen with original pressings of this title - Visual condition of record is a very high VG++ with a very few very light surface marks which only show up under strong light, cannot be felt, and do not affect play.  Record does have a few small bumps in the vinyl play surface which are a slight pressing defect and which also have absolutely no effect on play - The music is pressed right into these small bumps, I have play-tested the record and it plays through perfectly at a VG++/NM- level with a tiny bit of light surface noise inherent in the pressing, no other real problems.  Labels have a tiny bit of contact wear,  no other real flaws.   This all-time classic is a tough find in this condition grade - A choice addition to any original label early rock-n-roll record collection!  Winning bidder pays $3.00 first class mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - Uninsured first class international airmail postage to the UK or anyplace in Europe EXCEPT FOR GERMANY  is $7.50 - PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO THE GERMAN POST AND CUSTOMS CONTINUING FAILURE TO DELIVER MY PACKAGES, I AM FORCED TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL $11.50 TO COVER REGISTERED POSTAGE WITH TRACKING AND SIGNATURE DELIVERY TO ALL SHIPMENTS GOING TO GERMANY.  I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS, BUT I CANNOT CONTINUE TO LOSE MONEY AND HAVE MY EBAY REPUTATION DAMAGED BY THE GERMAN POST AND CUSTOMS' INABILITY TO DELIVER MY PACKAGES.   Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE!
