50s COLLECTION CLEAROUT
CHUCK BERRY - Down Bound Train/No Money Down - London HL 8275
Condition: G- (Graded conservatively)
A gapfiller copy (or a copy to play while you keep the EX one on the shelf!) of one of the great Chuck Berry's superb early singles on London with, unfortunately, a missing TRI centre. The vinyl is a mass of light hairlines on both sides when seen under a halogen lamp. It still plays OK, and if you play it LOUD, well enough for the brilliant dynamic guitar break on the A-side to come shining through the background noise. One of those records that look battered but are surprisingly playable without too much loss of sound quality.
Labels show some surface wear. The major defect is of course the missing Tri centre.
The record will be sent in a white or card sleeve. I keep the original sleeves for my collection I'm afraid.
