Background -

In 1972, Ian Anderson wrote and recorded the Jethro Tull Progressive Rock classic album Thick As A Brick. The lyrics were credited at the time to the fictitious child character, Gerald Bostock, whose parents supposedly lied about his age. The record instantly became a number one Billboard Chart album and enjoyed considerable success in many countries of the world.

I just want to say this package is fantastic. I won't review the music of either albums because much has been said particularly about the original, and I happen to enjoy Thick as a Brick 2, particularly the Track "A Change of Horses" which was written a few years prior to this collection.

The 180 gram vinyl of both albums is simply astounding both in sonic and visual quality. The hard bound book is filled with great photos and fantastic commentary. This set is well worth the purchase if you are a vinyl enthusiast and happen to really love the or at least like a lot the two Bricks.

It is simply a very well put together set that will delight fans very much. - T.R. Wolters

  • Near Mint Minus = Item has some minor imperfections, some audible.
  • Excellent = Item obviously played and enjoyed with some noise.
  • Very Good Plus = Many more imperfections which are noticeable and obtrusive.

For best results, always properly clean your LPs before playing them (even for brand new LPs).
