Description
This is a very good original Italian pressing copy of the sole studio LP by British punk/Oi! group Chron Gen, released in 1982. Chron Gen dialed things back a notch compared to contemporaries like the Exploited and the Blitz, focusing on a more melodic approach with thoughtful lyrics. The record includes re-recordings of several earlier single and EP tracks, as well as unlikely covers of the mid-'70s UK pop hit "Living Next Door to Alice" and Elton Modello's risque pop-punk single "Jet Boy Jet Girl" (the backing track for which was evidently lifted for Plastic Bertrand's "Ça plane pour moi," and not the other way around), which the group themselves released as a single. The jacket has a cutout hole, a price sticker and small tear on the front cover, creasing, corner and seam wear, and light ring, spine, and edge wear (VG). Visually, the disc has some mostly wispy scraping, scuffing, and light dinging and staining. There are several mostly light pops at the end of track 4 and start of track 5 on side 2, but it otherwise plays with light surface noise -- overall VG+.
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs except where otherwise noted.
