Original 1970 Canada stereo press of LP on Daffodil label
Christmas titled “ Heritage”
comes complete with lyric insert sheet ~ it's folded at the center
CONDITION:
textured gatefold cover: VG+
just lite shelf wear /soiling, but, has large noticeable stain ~ see scan ( shows thinly on back,too)
just tiny minor microscopic fray to corners (bottom left corner has small surface paper tear at back)
overall, the cover is all solid & in nice shape, if it weren't for the stain
vinyl: VG+(+)
lite groovewear ~ several minor lite surface marks/smudges & a few lite surface scratches(mostly on S2)
a few lite inner sleeve/press stains ~S1 has 2 long, but faint, storage mark (or vinyl stain ~ maybe from
the insert ) across the entire side (visible when angled to lite ~ all superficial surface save for 1 tiny
micrscopic burr on opening track S2 ~ i can't see it, but i can feel it ~ skips foreward 1 x ~ remainder plays
with several odd occasional individual very lite clicks(perhaps 3 or 4 per side),but, also some
occasional lite surface noise in a few spots on both sides ~ noticeable mostly between cuts &
intro/extro nothing loud or bad, but at a competitive level in several quieter passages
(not really noticeable at all when the guitars are going full bore)

Led by Bob Bryden, who had earlier played in the Toronto, Ontario-based Reign Ghost,
Christmas played in Oshawa, Ontario, between 1970-74.
In the later years they were known as Spirit Of Christmas.
When they formed on Christmas Day in 1969 their average age was just 17.
Christmas is best described as a progressive underground band.
They were originally known as Black Christmas
Heritage consists of heavy progressive underground rock and has its moments,
particularly on Zephyr Song, April Mountain, which has some fine guitar work,
and the title track. All the songs on the album were written and arranged by Bryden.
Lies To Live By is really their finest moment and arguably one of the best albums
to come out of Canada in the 1970s. Very imaginative progressive rock.
Almost every track is excellent and this album is strongly recommended.
