Original 1970 Canada stereo press of LP on Daffodil label
Christmas titled “ Heritage”
comes complete with lyric insert sheet
CONDITION:
textured gatefold cover: Excellent
clean & sharp with only very faint signs of soiling ~ small minor fray /tear at spine edge
vinyl: Excellent
clean & glossy ~ a few lite press/inner sleeve stains & a couple of faint lite paper sleeve lines
~ all superficial ~ plays excellent with just a couple of odd occasional lite clicks &
just a touch of of occasional minimal lite surface noise/ faint surface crackle here & there ~
~ all low level ~ nothing that competes or disturbs ~ noticeable mostly between tracks, but, in
2 or 3 of the more delicate quieter moments during play,too
insert: VG++ to Excellent
just lite soiling & faint signs of handling ~ small minor crease to lower right ~ see scan
( just 1 of 2 that i've ever seen that were not folded down the middle!!)

Led by Bob Bryden, who had earlier played in the Toronto, Ontario-based Reign Ghost,
Christmas played in Oshawa, Ontario, between 1970-74.
In the later years they were known as Spirit Of Christmas.
When they formed on Christmas Day in 1969 their average age was just 17.
Christmas is best described as a progressive underground band.
They were originally known as Black Christmas
Heritage consists of heavy progressive underground rock and has its moments,
particularly on Zephyr Song, April Mountain, which has some fine guitar work,
and the title track. All the songs on the album were written and arranged by Bryden.
Lies To Live By is really their finest moment and arguably one of the best albums
to come out of Canada in the 1970s. Very imaginative progressive rock.
Almost every track is excellent and this album is strongly recommended.
