Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE & ARTIST: "A Christmas Sampler" by Various Artists on the Westminster Records label (WP S-2), in beautiful original Monophonic sound, issued circa 1957.
CONDITION: SLEEVE - EX(Original sleeve has overall very light wear, along with light corner bumps - please see actual album in photos); RECORD - Near Mint("Westminster" record is shiny and clean with a couple of extremely light marks - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).
SPECIAL FEATURES: Now for some CHRISTMAS music for "The Holiday Instrument Crowd" - this remarkable collection of yuletide interpretations is an absolute treasure. The music is captivating, and the album includes back cover liner notes filled to the brim with images of Westminster Christmas albums, not to mention a fabulous cover photo. This is the original mono issue, extremely hard to find in any condition, and it is a jewel not to be missed. SPECIAL NOTE: Includes the Ferrante & Teicher classic Sleigh Ride from their ultra-rare "Adventure in Carols" album, a great treat.
TRACKS:  White Christmas (Dick Leibert) --
Birthday of a king (Cathedral Bellringers) --
Adeste fideles (Collegium Musicum) --
Sleigh ride (Ferrante and Teicher) --
God rest ye merry, gentlemen (Deutshmeister Band) --
O holy night (Robert Locksmith and Robert Owen) --
What child is this? (Dick Leibert) --
The first Noel (Randolph Singers) --
Joy to the world (Brooklyn Museum Children's Chorus) --
We three kings of Orient are (Randolph Singers) --
O come, o come Emmanuel (Gordon Myers) --
Scriptures (Isaiah 40:1-5)(Basil Rathbone) --
Lord, through Thy goodness (Carl Weinrich) --
Silent night (Vienna Akademie Kammerchor).

OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely). Thanks! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck.
