Description
This is a rare original UK pressing copy of the debut UK LP by British session guitarist extraordinaire Chris Spedding, released in 1970. The previous year, Spedding had taken over from former Cream lyricist Pete Brown at the helm of the Battered Ornaments. He went on to release many solo LPs through the '70s and indeed seems to be still recording and performing today. Like so many UK LPs from this period, the lamination on the front cover of this copy has separated in some places from the underlying thin cardboard of the jacket, creating some creasing. There are no splits in the lamination, though, and otherwise the jacket is in fine overall condition with some tearing along the flipback seams on the back cover and light corner wear. Overall VG(+). Visually, the disc has some hairline scrapes and scuffing/loss of glossiness. It plays with some popping at the start of side 1, track 1, and mostly light surface noise after that in the many parts I sampled (VG++).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
