CHRIS  CLARK

"SOUKL  SOUNDS"

Motown      664     (mono)

1967

M / NM*  (*see above)

ONLY SEALED COPY ON EBAY AS OF 7-13-2018 POSTED AT $60.00 (incl. post).  Check it out.

Beautiful copy of Chris Clark's first LP. This is the original analog LP in mono.  As far as I can tell, the mono version has never been reissued.  This is the original master and mix.  It's how Motown and Chris Clark wanted you to hear it.  NOT digital sound of a CD or remixed or remastered reissues.

FYI, in 1997, the Belgian label Marginal released "Soul Sounds" made from the original master tapes and contains the songs from both her vinyl albums (but does not contain any of the mono mixes). A 2005 50-track double-CD compilation entitled Chris Clark: The Motown Collection includes Soul Sounds, C.C. Rides Again, and many unreleased Motown recordings However, quite a few versions of these songs are remixed and are listed as "Motown Anthology Versions". Two tracks on this digital release are in digitalized mono (   A reissue and remastered version of the Soul Sounds album was released by the Reel Music label in April 2009.  Remastered = not the original sound.

Stored vertically in a smoke free environment for 51 years.
