THE CHOSEN FEW - I Love The Way You Love (TR Records TRM5780) - Pre-release LP - 1975
Tracks: I Love The Way You Love, Second That Emotion, Make Way For The Young Folks, Hide And Seek, Reggae Stuff, My Thing, Everybody Plays A Fool, Tears Of A Clown, Hang On Sloopy, Queen Majesty, La La At The End, I Love The Way You Love (Part 2).
Nicely presented original pre-release pressing of The Chosen Few's soulful funky-reggae killer I Love The Way You Love, released in 1975 on the TR Records label. Recorded at Harry J's and Randy's, produced by Tony Robinson, engineered by Sylvan Morris, with riddims courtesy of The Now Generation. The vinyl retains a good sheen with light and a few lightish surface marks, fine light hairlines, a few light scratches and scuffs and a couple of spindle marks at the end of the B-side - nothing serious - see descriptions below and check-out the soundclips.
A-side: There is only a tiny amount of any background surface noise - hardly audible in fact - with tiny, some very small and occasional small pops and clicks plus just a few slightly more prominent ones. In addition, a small pressing mark causes nine moderate clicks right at the start. Grade - VG/VG+ improving quickly to VG+/EX- then to EX-/EXB-side: There is only a tiny amount of any background surface noise - hardly audible in fact - with tiny, some very small and occasional small pops and clicks plus a few slightly more prominent ones. In addition, the spindle marks highlighted above cause some smallish-to-prominent double clicks during sections of Tracks 5 and 6. Grade - VG+/EX- up to EX- then down to VG+/VG++
Labels: There is some general discolouration to both of the plain white labels, and the numbers 1 to 6 are written in biro on the A-side label (see scan).
Sleeve: There is some lightish wear to the edges and corners, a 7cm split to the spine, and some light creasing. On the back cover, the omitted B-side Track 1 title has been added neatly in biro, and the track numbers corrected.
