Description

This is a fine copy from a 1981 Australian reissue of the second LP by legendary garage-psych group the Chocolate Watch Band, originally released in 1968.  From San Jose, California, an inland city between San Francisco and Monterey Bay, the group weren't that well represented on vinyl.  Their first two LPs both contained their share of solid tracks, but were intermixed with instrumentals by producer Ed Cobb that employed session musicians and guest vocalists.  Side one of this LP features features session musicians on two long Cobb instrumentals and a fine cover of Florida group We the People's "In the Past" with vocals by non-group member Don Bennett.  Side two features the group, though Bennett sings on two of the five tracks.  The other three tracks are among the group's best: covers of fellow California group the Brogues' "I Ain't No Miracle Worker," Bob Dylan's "Baby Blue" (which originally appeared as the b-side of their debut single), and the Kinks' "I'm Not Like Everybody Else."  The jacket is close to M- with some light creasing and seam wear (EX+).  The disc is clean with some light scuffing, and plays with light surface noise (EX).

I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.

If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
