Description
For auction is the CHICO HAMILTON QUINTET's "Passin' Thru", Impulse A-29 MONO, 1963. With Charles Lloyd, Gabor Szabo, others.
SOUND: VG+ or better
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The sound is terrific, clean and clear!
VINYL: VG+
Visually, the vinyl has a few minor scuffs and smudges. Overall looks very nice. On white Impulse! labels. No deep-grooves.
COVER: VG+
The cover is very nice. The edges are solid except for a 3-inch split, top middle. Otherwise, all good with minor wear. The corners have routine softening/bumps. The front and back are clean with routine wear. The inside gatefold is very clean and unmarked except for a name in red marker. The gatefold spine is still stiff and doesn't lie flat.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A very nice record. No reserve, bidding starts at $10.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
