First off,I am not a record grader in the sense that the widely accepted view of letter grading vinyl to me has much room for gaps in assessment.I always try to give as much info as I can,so the perspective buyer can make a comfortable judgment  Grading records or anything for that matter is subjective ,and opinions can and do vary.

I tend to be on the very conservative side  about grading (sometimes to the point of "over grading") as I feel its the prudent & diligent  thing,as you are not here making the visual call on the record.I have included an MP3 sample so you can make a judgment on the records playing quality.PLEASE use this mp3 to make your assessment  of the sound.That's why I have it embedded.If you have questions on the sound,or anything else pertaining to the record,email me and I will go over it more,but please don't ignore the tool I have placed to help make the decision,that's what its there for.We all know records can look one way and play another.Please note,I will only vouch for my turntables performance,for as we all know,turntable performance varies from one to another.





Chet Baker Riverside RLP 12-278 lp entitled It could happen to  you-Chet Baker Sings.This is a promo copy,and as such it stamped Promotion Copy on the back top of the jacket ,and on the label itself.The bacj cover bottom states Riverside Records. are released by Bill Grauer Productions.553 West 51st Street .New York 19,N.Y.As to its condition,lets go over it.First the Jacket.On the overall the jacket is in nice shape,noting some observations.The corners look good,though the top right opening corner has some laminate crack,which lead  to the start ..start of a small seam split maybe about a half inch.Past that jacket is firm.The other corners are good,with just slight corner wear through to the cardboard.There is a small roundish wear through about a third of the way down on the spine side right at the edge,around the size of a bb.The bottom edges and the spine are good with just some small laminate cracks,mostly on the bottom.There is slight ring wear on the front cover,that is not showing in the picture.That is the point.Its light and won't show unless its held at certain angles .On the front cover I see a few streak marks on the clear laminate,again,they will not show up unless the are in the right light and angle.The back cover has some ring wear on the bottom,and is a bit whiter overall the my picture shows.This came with an onion skin inner sleeve.Its ripped ,but will be included .I have the album in a plastic lined inner sleeve.

Onto the vinyl.In my view,the vinyl is in very clean overall condition.Again,a few notations.The vinyl looks like it was well cared for.It does have a few scattered and I would say few very light superficial scratches ,some short some longer.You will be hard pressed to see them in room light.Out in the light of day,you can see whats there.The label(blue and silver) looks very clean,with just a tiny bit of roughness on one spindle hole side.I have embedded the whole album so you can make a judgment on its playing quality.For me ,it played very nice.I noticed a quick skip on The More I see you.It skipped one time ,then another time it didn't.I don't see anything in that area to cause it,but something must be there.As I state in my mp3 statement,please do listen to it,as of course its you best gauge to how it tracks.Any questions,please,please ask before bidding.If you need any more pictures,shoot me an email ,and I will send you all you need.Thanks
