ON TO SOME GOOD JAZZ ITEMS!! This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1953 U.S. PACIFIC JAZZ 10" PRESSING OF THE 1953 LP titled 'Chet Baker Quartet Featuring Russ Freeman', featuring legendary trumpet man Chet Baker with a stellar combo. It is Pacific Jazz Records catalog number PJLP-6, original 1953 rigid vinyl deep groove black label pressing with silver print. Personnel: Chet Baker-trumpet / Russ Freeman-piano / Carson Smith-bass / Larry Bunker-drums. Tracks: Long Ago And Far Away, Happy Little Sunbeam, Moon Love, Bea's Flat, No Ties, Band Aid, The Thrill Is Gone, All The Things You Are. Condition of record is a high VG with a few surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play, and a couple of surface scratches which can be felt and which will cause some slight ticks, nothing distracting. Record plays with a little general surface noise and the aforementioned slight ticks. Labels have no real problems. Condition of cover is conservatively a high VG/low VG+ with small closed splits at the left hand corners, some small areas along the edges where the top layer of paper is worn away, a little age discoloration, a fair amount of ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no tears, stickers, or writing. This original 1953 10" LP would be a choice addition to any Chet Baker or modern jazz record collection!
