CHET BAKER IN EUROPE – A JAZZ TOUR OF THE NATO COUNTRIES – PACIFIC JAZZ 1218 – M- - MONO
This early Pacific Jazz LP features two sessions. Side One was recorded on October 24, 1955 in Paris and was originally on Barclay Records. It features Chet Baker on trumpet, Gerard Gustin on piano, Jimmy Bond on bass and Bert Dahlander on drums. Their selections are: SUMMERTIME; YOU GO TO MY HEAD; TENDERLY; AUTUMN IN NEW YORK and THERE’S A SMALL HOTEL. Side Two was recorded from two sessions on October 11 & 14, 1955 featuring Chet Baker on trumpet, Richard Twardzik on piano, Jimmy Bond on bass and Peter Littman on drums. They perform: RONDETTE; PIECE CAPRICE; MID-FORT E.; POMP; SAD WALK and THE GIRL FROM GREENLAND.
I’ve graded this LP as M-. There are no marks on either side of the vinyl and the spindle hole on both sides is clean, with no marks as well. The record cover is in excellent condition with NO taped seams. There is a little wear on the lower right corner and some slight discoloration on the liner notes. This is a Mono recording. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.
