Description
CHERYLL ANN I Can't Let Him
*** UNIQUE ACETATE! ***
UK 7", EMIDisc, circa 1965 We believe this to be Joe Meek's own copy of what must have been a publishing demo. Cheryll Ann's 'I Can't Let Him' was a US-only soul recording issued on New York City-based independent label Patty. Original copies the 45 now sell for £200+ on the Northern Soul market!! The single was never released in the UK!!!
Likely to be Joe's own handwriting on both sides ('Glenda' presumably refers to Glenda Collins - presumably, with a view to her recording the song?).
B-side not known to have been released. Female singer but sounds like UK production (i.e. not Cheryll Ann). Joe has written 'Great Girl Sing'.
This is likely to have been a publishing demo.
Please note disc was cut quietly (i.e. both tracks are low volume)
Condition: GOOD (lots of marks, scratches and surface damage, plays through OK with fair amount of distortion, clicks and background noise)
Tracks: CHERYLL LYNN I Can't Let Him UNKNOWN ARTIST I've Got To Tell You
