Description
For sale is a Old Vintage 1941 CHEE LAI Songs of New China PAUL ROBESON KEYNOTE 109 78 RPM RECORD SET.
3 78 RPM Records in Album.
Paul Robeson with Chinese Chorus Conducted by Liu Liang-Mo.
With Rare Original 12 page Booklet with introduction by Madame Sun Yat-Sen.
The booklet contains the Lyrics of All 6 Songs and other information.
The back of the booklet states that "Royalties and part proceeds from the sale of these Songs of Free China are remitted to the China Aid Council of United China Relief to provide medical supplies for China's wounded and care for the orphans of fighters and refugees. Money and supplies are sent to Madame Chiang Kai-Shek and to the China Defense League of which Madame Sun Yat-Sen is Chairman".
Record 1: Chee Lai; Work as One.
Record 2: Feng Yang; Chinese Farmers' Song.
Record 3: 1) Chinese Soldiers' Song, 2) Riding the Dragon; Song of the Guerrillas.
The Record Labels are Very Nice and Clean.
The Records seem to be in Overall Very Good Condition- we are not experts in record grading so Please View the Photos to Determine the Condition. We have not played them- we don't know how they will sound.
The Album has some minor corner wear and scuffing; the bottom edge has wear and scuffing.
There is no text on the spine.
The Inside is in Very Good, Clean Condition. The Paper Sleeves are in Very Good Condition.
The Original Owners Bookplate is on the Top Left Corner of the Brown Paper Inside Cover.
The Booklet has some very minor wear and a slight crease to the Lower Right Corner but it is in Overall Excellent, Clean Condition.
It seems the records were very gently and seldom played, if at all.
This album was purchased from an estate with other records and was carefully stored.
