A rare one! U.S. Stereo pressing with New York USA address on labels. This has VAN GELDER stamped in the dead wax on both sides, STEREO stamped in the dead wax on both sides, and the number “BNST-84119” etched into the dead wax on both sides plus “THE EAR”. No deep groove. It also still has its original Blue Note inner sleeve. This also has “Review Copy” stamped on the back cover. Personnel includes Charlie Rouse, Kenny Burrell, Chauncey “Lord” Westbrook, Lawrence Gales, Willie Bobo, Potato Valdez, and Gavin Masseaux. Liner notes on back cover by Leonard Feather. Recorded at Rudy Van Gelder Studio, Englewood Cliffs, NJ, November 26, 1962.

The cover still has much of its original gloss on the front, and the colors are beautiful and vivid. There are minor corner dings, a 1 ½” center bottom seam split, and a couple of light creases. The back cover has a bit of light wear and 2 small pen marks. The vinyl is clean and shiny, and if you look closely has a small number of light surface scuffs- nothing even close to being able to be felt. The record looks like it had only a few plays.

All LPs come packaged carefully in a sturdy corrugated box made specifically for mailing LPs plus a cardboard insert. The covers are placed in clear plastic record sleeves. The vinyl is removed from the cover (except for SEALED items) for shipping to prevent seam splitting during shipment.
