Charlie Parker Quintet/Septet is on Dial Records (201) from 1949. Super Super Rare Original 10" from Bird!!! Definitely up there in terms of Jazz Holy Grail Collectibles!
10" disc is in VG++ condition! Glossy and in Incredible Shape!!! Side A has a little bit of very very light scuff and literally, just a few stray hairline needle marks. NO scratches! Really gorgeous shape folks. Label has deep groove and is clean, with clean spingle hole. Side B the same with just a few light hairlines and some very light scuff. NO scratches! When played, disc sounds great. There is light surface noise in the recording but I believe ALL copies of this record inherently have some light noise. Otherwise, recording is as beautiful as the disc!!
Jacket is in a Strong VG condition. As seen in picture, top of jacket has some light mildew stains on front and back. Top spine is split about halfway. But the damage is only at the top. Bottom half of jacket is in beautiful shape with NO splits and NO stains.
Songs are Night in Tunisia, Yardbird Suite, Moose the Mooche, Orinthology, Lover Man, Bebop, The Gypsy, and Max Making Wax. Musicians are Parker, Lucky Thompson, Miles Davis, Dodo Marmarosa, Arvin Garrison, Vic McMillan, Roy Porter, Howard McGhee, Jimmy Bunn, Bob Kesterson and Roy Porter.
