Description
CHARLIE JACKSON
PARAMOUNT 12264
V-
TITLES:
- Shave 'Em Dry
- Coffee Pot Blues
Charles Alexander Jackson was the original Chicago Blues man. He played Maxwell Street in the early 1920's, traveled in minstrel shows, was proficient in guitar, ukulele and banjo and best of all, recorded for Paramount. Most of his recordings are credited to "Papa" Charlie Jackson. There is no "Papa" on this one. He accompanies himself on banjo.
Record has many light scuffs and scratches as this one has been played often. "A" side label has some wear at the center hole. Record looks and plays V-. Not too bad for a Paramount.
