This Charles Mingus session featured the following personnel: Ted Curson, Lonnie Hillyer (tp), Jimmy Knepper, Britt Woodman (tb), Eric Dolphy (as,b-cl,fl), Charles McPherson (as), Booker Ervin (ts), Nico Bunink (p), Charles Mingus (b) and Dannie Richmond (d). It was recorded in New York on October 20, 1960. SIDE A: MDM (Monk, Duke and Mingus.) SIDE TWO: STORMY WEATHER and LOCK ‘EM UP.
I’ve rated this album VG+. The vinyl is very clean, with only a couple of very light marks on the surface. They are difficult to see, but they are there. There is no wear on either side of the spindle holes. The record cover is really M-, but the overall evaluation doesn’t earn that rating. This is a Mono recording.
