Description
Completely rare two sided, two track, Goldstar metal acetate of obscure soul singer Charles Harris. "Bye Bye, I'm Gone"/ "Baby". Conservative grade of VG. Some noticeable surface noise on each track but both tracks play strong and rich. Side A, "Bye Bye, I'm Gone", is, for lack of a better description, one barn burner of a track, the bass presence is fantastic. Side B, "Baby" is a fantastic Northern Soul ballad with a nice build. I have a feeling this is a one of a kind item as I can find no reference to this acetate or either song as ever being released. From the sound of the tracks, I'd assume this is a mid-sixties recording. Both tracks are fantastic and I believe I have priced reasonably given the rarity of the item but, I will consider any reasonable offer. Once in a lifetime opportunity!
