This recording comes direct from the vinyl copy you are now bidding on, straight out of my NAD amp, into my ZOOM H2 recorder, recording directly into MP3. When including these recordings for this purpose I make no audio tweaks in any way to the audio recording I have done, I do not alter the weight of the stylus, though I do use a fresh stylus, as, I'm sure we're all aware, is healthy to do anyway, very regularly!
Record Weight: 35.6g Conditions: Disc Visually: G+/VG- plently of surface marks, but nothing more significant than these, nothing feelable, and as the audio attest, no significant ticks or pops, just a little sandy top end from the surface marks Disc Audibly: a confident VG/VG+, this is a well pressed record, as many very light surface marks as this has it is remarkably good audio, even on the sparse B-side, which is probably the slightly weaker audio of the two, it stands up very nicely, why weren't all records pressed like this?! The audio is recorded so strongly! Clearly this never had a terrible stylus on it. Listen to this classy single, almost impossible to find on UK pressing, and this original version kicks any cover version into touch doesn't it?! Labels: VG ,A little dullening of these lovely Columbia labels, but still pretty damn nice! A very small white ring around the central hole where the highest point of the record has rubbed against the slip-mat, and just a handful of spindle rubs (visible mainly when angled into direct strong light) on the A-side, predictably, a few more than this on the B-side but still nice. The A-side has a very slight darkening near the "LUM" of "COLUMBIA" which I guess was a very carefully removed sticker, as there are a couple of lightened specks outlining it. Really not much though! Very nice! Check out the photos for yourself! Sleeve: EX- Really very nice to find these original 50s sleeves in this condition, this is the purple/white "teenagers" style company sleeve, absolutely no rips/nicks/tears/stains/wear-throughs/sticker damage/writing etc! Crisp edges and corners and opening mouth edges! A very slight spread of the ink from the dancing man's knees (right of the centre hole on the front cover, but other than that, very little handling at all! Nice!)
