CELESTE - Principe Di Un Giorno - GROG LP 1976
Rare ORIGINAL 1st Italian pressing (GRL 02) of this holy grail prog masterpiece from 1976 on the GROG label. This is NOT a re-press, re-release, or bootleg. Guaranteed Italian original.
The thick gate fold cover is in STRONG VG++ condition with only minor signs of shelf wear. There are NO seam splits, tears, rips, or bends of any kind. The beautiful artwork is sharp and shows no signs of age or any fading whatsoever. There is a small number "300" measuring one inch that is written on the inside jacket but not on the inside the gate fold. The front of the cover has a tiny black dot (in pencil?) and the back cover has a very slight discoloration mark (see pics for details) but are not a major distraction from the overall appearance. Very clean.
The glossy vinyl is a deep groove stereo-mono pressing with clean perfect labels on both sides (side 1 has the "stamp") and is in STRONG VG+ condition with only a few light sleeve marks. There are NO "hairlines", scratches, or any deep marks whatsoever. Sound quality is loud, clean, and crisp with only some very light background noise under the music and only during quiet passages. Wonderful sound quality and definately a keeper collector copy.
This copy comes directly from the home of a serious Los Angeles-area psych collector who purchased it over 20 years ago. The record has been cherished, well taken care of, played less than 10 times over the past 20 years. Notoriously one of the rarest prog LP's from Italy and around the world. Rumored that a maximum of only 4,000 copies were sold? Amazing musicianship....moody and atmospheric prog. Very rare and highly recommended.
