Condizioni : la copertina, laminata su ambedue i lati, mostra un moderato ring wear e alcune leggere grinze negli angoli, osservate, per cortesia, le foto 4 e 5; grande stato, EX+ / vinile con etichetta bianca per usi di promozione. Alcuni lievi segni in maggior parte lasciati dall'attrito con la busta interna condizionano minimamente l'ascolto con pochi leggeri clicchettii; grande stato, EX+

Condition : laminated cover on both sides shows a moderate ring wear and some light creasing on the corners, please look to photos 4 and 5, EX+ / vinyl has the white promotional label. Some minor scuffs and inner sleeve rubs affect minimally listening with a few light clicks, EX+

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : interessante confronto fra due compositori con differenti visioni sulla musica per i film western. Dumont ha un'impostazione più tradizionale vicina al western Americano. "No Time for Love" (a1) è una graziosa ballata dal lento andamento cantata in Inglese da Elsa Martinelli con tonalità vocali piacevolmente dolci, "Western Casino" (a3) contiene simpatiche musiche da saloon. "Belle Starr" (a6) è il brano maggiormente in chiave spaghetti western. Cipriani, allora trentenne, è indubbiamente più incline alla musica western di generazione Italiana. Il modello a cui si richiama è Morricone con il suo "Per un Pugno di Dollari". Molti i riferimenti a questa grande colonna sonora nelle composizioni del musicista Romano, a partire dal tema iniziale (b1). "Zoccoli nella Polvere" (b3) è a mio avviso il brano più interessante, caratterizzato da un'ossessiva percussività e dal buon suono della tromba.

Notes : interesting comparison between two composers with different views on the music for the western movies. Dumont has a more traditional approach close to American westerns. "No Time for Love" (a1) is a lovely ballad from the slow development sung in English by Elsa Martinelli with agreeably mild tones, "Western Casino" (a3) includes nice saloon music. "Belle Starr" (a6) is the track mainly in spaghetti western style. Cipriani, at that time thirty years old, is certainly more inclined towards western music of Italian generation. The model is referred to Morricone with his "A Fistful of Dollars". There are many references to this great soundtrack in the compositions of the Roman musician starting from the opening theme (b1). "Zoccoli nella Polvere" (b3) is in my opinion the most interesting track characterized by an obsessive percussiveness and the excellent trumpet sound.

** Ancora uno spaghetti western sempre prodotto in Italia. Regia di Luigi Vanzi sotto lo pseudonimo Vance Lewis, con Daniele Vargas, Tony Anthony, Marco Guglielmi, Marina Berti e Jill Banner.
