Description
Creedence Clearweater Revival "Pendulum"
This is an original US vinyl pressing on Fantasy 8410 from 1970. This was their sixth album. This is a stereo white label promo copy. It's pressed on very thin flexible vinyl. The labels are all white with a black circle. The cover has no promotional markings. The matrix numbers are machine stamped : F-2818 and F-2819. Fantasy Records did not put 'side 1' or 'side 2' on their labels when this was released.
Creedence is one of the very best American Rock 'N' Roll bands. Their music is known for gutsy lead guitars, distictive vocals, and a Southern rock attitude. We can thank John Fogerty for that. He wrote the music, he wrote the lyrics, and he arranged and produced their best songs. They had 10 hit singles and 6 hit albums in two years. And after 40 years their music is still played on the radio and it still sounds great.
This is not one of their best albums. There are two big hits : 'Have You Ever Seen The Rain' and 'Hey Tonight'. And it has their strangest song 'Rude Awakening # 2'.
The vinyl on this record is in well played condition, but it still rare.
Overall Condition is : Cover is VG+ / Record is VG-
The gatefold cover is VG+ with no ring wear, no writing , and no seam splits. There is seam wear. The vinyl looks VG- and it plays VG. There are lots of scuffs and rub marks and a few scratches. It does play better than it looks. The labels are clean with light spindle marks. The record comes in a Creedence inner sleeve.
The songs are : Pagan Baby, Sailor's Lament, Chameleon, Have You Ever Seen The Rain, Hideaway, Born To Move, Hey Tonight, It's Just A Thought, Molina, Rude Awakening # 2.
