Description

  • Cat Stevens released his fifth studio album "Teaser and the Firecat" in October 1971 on A&M Records. It was an enormous worldwide hit reaching No. 2 on both the U.S. and U.K. album charts and was also the best selling album of the year in Australia. Hit singles include "Moonshadow," "Peace Train," and "Morning Has Broken." Rick Wakeman played piano on the latter track but is not credited.

  • This copy of (SP-4313) is from the First Pressing nearly 50-Years-Ago and is in excellent condition. The textured gatefold cover shows only the slightest wear and is easily VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Lee Hulko at Sterling Sound in NYC and this copy was pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Santa Maria, Calif. The Side One dead wax is etched SP 4525 RE-1 S-2 STERLING LH S1.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 50 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
