CAT STEVENS - TEA FOR THE TILLERMAN
ISLAND PINK LABEL 1970 FIRST & RARE UK PRESSING WITH OUTER LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.

Released in 1970 on the first press pink ISLAND label, I am offering today this original and rare first UK pressing of this classic album by CAT STEVENS titled "TEA FOR THE TILLERMAN". this was printed in small quantity before being changed to the common pink rim palm label.
This is one of Cat's best albums alongside Mona Bone Jackon and contains some outstanding tracks.
The album comes complete with its original outer laminated heavy gatefold sleeve which I would describe as is in very good condition, it has no splits or unwanted writing etc but shows some light shelf wear with a touch of laminate lifting.
The heavy textured inner gate shows some bunching which is common with the wide spine pressings.
I have just played this through for these listing purposes and it plays through nicely. Needless to say absolutely no sticks or skips etc.
The VINYL, The Vinyl visually shows some light hairlines & audibly is in very good condition. I have just played it through and can state that it plays with absolutely no nasty sticks or skips etc but there is the odd light crackle.
The SLEEVE, The outer laminated gatefold sleeve is in clean condition with fully legible spine text and no splits stickers or unwanted writing etc but typical of these early seventies wide spine sleeves has some bunching to the heavy textured inner gatefold and it shows general shelf wear.
The LABELS, The first issue pink Island labels are clean, Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.
The INNER, The generic inner sleeve is clean and free from unwanted writing or splits etc.
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
