This record is in excellent condition. It has a few faint spindle marks visible on each label but there is not a drastic amount. There are no pen marks to either side but there is an incredibly faint grubby mark on side 2. This is very minor however and overall the iconic labels are in great shape. The centres show only minimal wear and are not loose or worn. There is little to report really with no scuffs or major issues, just the faint spindle marks and very minor grubby mark.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides have nothing remotely serious showing but there are a few light surface lines visible in normal light. These very light lines and some minor 'sleeve scuffs' are visible under bright light but again nothing remotely sinister. So overall a vintage used record that on the whole is in great shape. It has no nasty scuffs, serious deep marks or blemishes and has a beautiful vivid lustre.
I play tested the record and it played really well and sounded superb throughout with great clarity and definition. It lays flat on the deck and upon playing there is virtually no movement in the record arm. The sound produced is really clear with only a trace of surface noise or interference very occasionally audible in the audio. There is a minimal amount in the run in and a touch between some songs but on the whole the vast majority is crisp, very clear and really defined. There is no distortion caused by excessive use and no skips, sticks or annoying clicks. Overall it was an absolute pleasure to play test and produced audio of high quality which was free of any major problems(light lines mentioned above have no affect whatsoever).
The textured gatefold sleeve is in excellent- condition. It has wear and rubbing to the edges and corners, yet despite this the writing along the spine is all clearly legible. There are no splits anywhere bu there is a 1cm area of wear or a tear up the rear bottom left corner edge. This area has the worst of the wear/rubbing but is still solid, as are all the other edges. Other than the age related edge wear there is nothing major to report. There is next to no creasing or ring marks but there is some very slight grubbiness or discolouring to the front. There is also 2 tiny scuffs inside of the gatefold bu they are very small. All these issues are pretty minor however and overall the sleeve(which tends to be fragile) is holding up well for its age and appears more than decent all round. I have tried to describe the sleeve as best I can but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible on its condition.
It includes its original blue Island inner which is in excellent- condition. This has no tears, splits or pen marks but slight creasing, ring marks and some age related grubbiness or discolouring to it.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to try to ensure a swift delivery.
