MATRIX NUMBERS
This LP is mega rare on the pink 'i' Island label. This copy is even rarer - in fact I believe it to be unique! It has a mis-pressed Side 2 label (see scan) where the label's spindle hole has been printed off-center. The result is that the word GANDALF (presumably the sound engineer) has been exposed - this is normally hidden on these records. Both sides have the machine stamped STERLING lettering.
A mis-pressed label would usually be rejected by the manufacturer but this one slipped through the net - possible because the Side 1 label is a normal pink 'i' label that has been pressed correctly.
The rear cover still has a FACTORY SAMPLE sticker on the rear cover indicating that this was not meant for public consumption but would have been inadvertently sent out as a review copy to music journalists.
Cover: E J Day 1st pressing laminated gatefold cover with the textured interior. Textured interior is Near Mint. Outside is Excellent - light wear only. Has a Factory Sample sticker on the rear cover.
Vinyl: Thick heavy duty 1st pressing. Looks to be Very Good - some feathering and light hairlines - no feelable scratches. Being sold more for its rarity value rather than its audio properties.
Labels: Side 1 is a regular 'i' label (has a small name written on it) and Side 2 has the unique mispressed label.

Gradings.......
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
