ABOUT THIS RECORD:
A 12" vinyl single - #1 of the deluxe edition of 35 copies which were available late last year from my website (this record is being sold by the artist). 
It is unique and one-of-a-kind, because I have hand-engraved the blank side of the record with my original artwork depicting a sundial face with a scarab. In fact, this is a working sundial face — or would be if you wanted to leave your records out in the sun, but the point is it fairly accurately drawn referencing a real sundial face, and would in theory actually work. :-)
This record is a lathe cut produced by Fruits de Mer Records (each of these single-sided transparent 12" records was cut by hand from a blank piece of vinyl in real time on a lathe) — only 85 copies were produced in total. The first edition of 50 copies (packed in clear PVC sleeves with a single-sided insert) sold out quickly at the 15th Dream of Dr. Sardonicus Festival in August of 2017, thereafter becoming sought-after collectibles.
The remaining 35 copies were re-packaged for a deluxe edition, in outer sleeves with stunning full-colour gloss laminated artwork front and back. Inside is a special insert signed by all of the musicians who contributed, a tarot card, and a CD copy of Fat Old Sun. The printed pieces were designed, and then lovingly hand-trimmed and assembled, by me. The deluxe edition, as this record was by now highly desired by fans and collectors alike (and unavailable elsewhere), sold out completely in under a minute, with the exception of this one copy, which I held back to auction for the benefit of the musicians who played on it.

ABOUT THE TRACK:
"Fat Old Sun" is a song by David Gilmour, and originally appeared on Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother. The album version is mostly acoustic, and quite short, fading out on the first few notes of a tantalising guitar solo — bearing little resemblance to the epic version they performed live, which can be heard on various bootleg recordings. My version is loosely based on the various live recordings I've heard, but re-interpreted and embellished upon by my band and me.
Some very gifted musicians helped me realise this recording, and indeed most of them played "Fat Old Sun" in my band at various gigs and appearances over about a year before we recorded this version. This recording represents the audience-tested and highly refined finished product of much hard work and re-examination. 
Besides myself (vocals, synths, production), the performers are: Andy Budge on bass, David Payne on drums, Victoria Reyes on organ and backing vocals, and Owain Hutchings on guitar. Graham Clark, who played with us the last time we performed it live, has contributed his sublime violin playing and some additional guitar parts to the final recording.
