Description
Carlos Piper & Orquesta
Fermata FB-3351 / 1964 / Brazil
Melancolia b/w Raizes
Original, 1st and only pressing released in 1964 on Fermata, Brazil. I couldn't believe my eyes when I found this copy of Carlos Piper's picture sleeved single. This is not a typical Latin orchestra, and there are truly some top-notch musicians involved here! He achieved cult status among a few private Bossa Nova/Ultra-Lounge and Latin Jazz collectors, and it is due to his participation behind some key albums in the 60s. The A-side was composed by Denis Brean, and the flipside by Brean and Oswaldo Guilherme. Unknown by crowd, this is sophisticated Bossa for connoisseurs only. These tracks were never included on an album, and have never been reissued. Serious bidders please!
