Totally hot and exotic rare groove by the cult Brazilian singer and musician. Seldom comes up for sale in Europe ;) The sound of late '70s black Rio on the Nelson Motta penned "Escorpaio" club tune. A seductive mix of soulful vocals, sexy backing harmony and very funky rhythms with hazy fender rhodes. Comped on Brazilian Disco Boogie Sounds (1978 - 1982) on Favourite Recordings by Junior Santos (yet another of those amazing Pascal Rioux releases). Great for DJs! Disc cut loud with big production sound by Guti Carvalho (the man behind certain Azymuth - Gilberto Gil recordings). The "Venha Matar Saudades" side is mellow samba rock with orchestrations. Really hard to find in nice condition, like our copy :)
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, strong VG++ (closer to M-) regardless of some faint hairlines and a few faint light scuffs from storage / a couple of faint pressing blemishes / disc cut loud with big production sound / natural light background noises
SLEEVE - original, laminated soft card generic WEA company sleeve is strong VG++ with light wear / sharp looking with ring creasing and sticker to one side / no seam splits / item from the archive of an important record label who had offices in Milan, hence the archive notation front and back
LABEL - bright looking / 'x' notation and old sticker residue mark to one side / minimal wear elsewhere / a few faint old dirt marks from storage
After a 2 year gap, Pourquoi Moi Vintage is back :)
