CARL PERKINS “Dance Album” clean original Canadian Quality Rockabilly lp!

Canadian/Quality V-1611…..here’s a rare original Canadian press of Carl Perkins legendary Dance Album. This cover is very cool and unique to Canada only. When I found this record the cover was in the loose original bag . The front is very clean, the white back has foxing mainly on the opening edge but also the bottom and corners, there is a clean and repairable 2” center seam split, no paper is missing at all, the top seam has a repairable 2” split at the opening, light corner wear, perfect thick readable spine, overall solid and clean. The vinyl is in glossy VG++ condition with very little play, there are a handful of light small inaudible grit scratches and a few very light inaudible scuffs/scratches from having no inner sleeve. The deep groove record plays clean with no pops, clicks, skips, sticks but does play with very light hiss/crackle between tracks which is very common in these old mono pressings. The labels are clean and only have a couple of light spindle marks on one side. Quite remarkable for over 50 years old! The Beatles covered several of these great songs in the very early years. DANCE ALBUM is one of the most important LPs in rock & roll history, and certainly among the top five rockabilly albums, as it is THE definitive recorded statement from rockabilly trailblazer Carl Perkins. It was originally released on Sun in 1958, just after Perkins mirrored Elvis Presley's path by leaving Sun for a major label, and consists of tracks Perkins recorded for Sun between '55 and '57 (his unquestionable peak). The breathless intensity of both the hits ("Blue Suede Shoes," "Boppin' the Blues," et al) and the lesser-known songs is as fervid and infectious as Elvis's own Sun sides. Like Elvis and the other early rockabilly artists, Perkins blended country, blues, and R&B for a sparkling sound full of energy, lust, and pure jubilation.

MINT: as stated with no defects

M- OR NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition, I also play grade the records on high end equipment and will give an honest play grade as well as visual grade, considering the number of records I buy on line my grading is very conservative and fair.

AIR POSTAGE TO USA IS $10 ...OR $8 SURFACE IF THE PACKAGE WEIGHS LESS THAN 500 GRAMS(one regular weight pressing).........USA AIR POSTAGE FROM 500 GRAMS TO 1 KILO IS $15 AND SURFACE MAIL IS $12(usually 1-3 lp’s depending on individual weight), I can also send heavier packages to the USA by expedited surface mail, this option includes a tracking number and free insurance up to $100 for $15 to $20 depending on weight, insurance over $100 is $1.00 for each additional hundred dollars.

INTERNATIONAL AIR POSTAGE(depending on destination) UNDER 500 grams is $17 to $20(one regular weight lp), OVER 500 grams is $30 to $36(usually up to 3 lp’s depending on individual weight), SURFACE MAIL IS AVAILABLE OVERSEAS for  $12(500 grams) $15 (500 - 1000 g),OVERSEAS AIR POSTAGE BETWEEN 1000g AND 2000g (usually between 3 and 6 lp’s depending on individual weight) is $49 to $55.
