This is one of the more highly sought after LPs in the Modern Soul Funk genre, and of the small number of copies that have surfaced over the last few years most of them have had a plain sleeve generic jacket. The copy we are offering here comes complete with its original LP cover.
Not only does this album come with its original jacket, it is in FACTORY SEALED unplayed condition. To say this is a rare find would be an understatement.
Backing Carl on this album are the S.D.’s (which stands for “Soul Dogs”). All of the material is original, written by Carl and the Soul Dogs. This LP was pressed in 1980 on the tiny Chantilly label out of Hendersonville, Tennessee (a suburb of Nashville).
This copy is an absolute original- it is not an import and not a re-issue.
As we mentioned earlier, this LP is in Factory Sealed condition. The shrink wrap plastic has done a nice job of protecting the cover. The cover is in overall great shape and shows a tiny ding on the top right corner. The top left corner has just a bit of light creasing. The bottom left corner has a feather light rub.
The shrink wrap plastic is split all the way across the bottom edge only, and be rest assured this LP has never been opened. The shrink wrap shows a couple of small “breathe holes”, which is correct for the time period this was manufactured.
