CARAVAN - DEBUT ALBUM -  UK FIRST PRESSING VERVE FORECAST -   ORIGINAL 'PILLAR SLEEVE' 1969 STEREO:   This is your chance to bid on this fantastic original vinyl album by CARAVAN.   For sale here is "Caravan", the debut album by the PYSCHEDELIC / PROGRESSIVE ROCK band, and leading lights of the CANTEBURY SCENE, CARAVAN.   Issued in the UK on the VERVE FORECAST label in 1969 this is now regarded as one of the great PYSCH albums of the late SIXTIES.   The item for sale here is the ORIGINAL issue which featured the PILLAR SLEEVE.   PLEASE NOTE: THE VINYL LOOKS OK TO THE NAKED EYE BUT THERE ARE SOME ISSUES WHEN PLAYING. BECAUSE OF THIS YOU MAY JUDGE THIS TO BE A GAP FILLER. IT IS AN EXTREMELY RARE ALBUM & ONE THAT YOU WOULD NOT NECESSARILY CHOOSE TO PLAY WHEN THE TRACKS ARE READILY AVAILABLE IN DIGITAL & OTHER FORMATS. SEE DETAILS BELOW.   Tracklisting: Side One:

VINYL: The vinyl looks good. There are the surface marks that one would expect with a record that is over 40 years old.   There are however some faults with Side One, as follows: Track One: There is a jump at the start of the track & also one at the end. Track Two: There is a jump towards the end of the track. Track Three: There is a jump towards the end of the track but then the needle sticks. Track Four: There is a "click" at the start of the track.   SLEEVE: The sleeve is in very good condition. There is some edge & corner wear. There is a split in the bottom edge caused by the edge of the album. There are some creases in the laminated front. This is the original front laminated single sleeve manufactured by GARROD & LOFTHOUSE LTD. Please see photos below.
