Produced by Captain Beefheart himself, Lick My Decals Off, Baby was a further refining and exploration of the musical ideas posited on Trout Mask Replica.
The imaginative fervour of Trout Mask is toned down somewhat, but in its place is an increased self-assurance.
The tone of Decals is also a bit darker, even examining environmental issues in some songs rather than simply concentrating on surreal wordplay.
Whatever the differences, the jagged, complex rhythms and guitar interplay continue to amaze and the record sounds ever bit as exciting, strange and vital as it did over 40 years ago.

Wonderful sound quality - deep, rich and sharp and my play-check at volume found absolutely nothing to fault this surreal masterpiece - plays perfectly from start to finish - a really superb, practically untouched copy

A fine example with none of the common heavy surface rub/ring which shows readily on this matt back sleeve.
All edges are crisp and sharp with just a slight touch of rub to the corners and text on the spine - nothing major
