In 1965, to meet increasing American demand for Beatles records, Capitol Records opened a modern, state of the art vinyl record manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, Illinois, United States.

On Sunday, July 11, 1965 from 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M., the facility hosted an open house, at which all attendees were given a free souvenir record, featuring snippets of hit songs from Capitol's roster of popular recording artists.

The plant (then EMI Manufacturing), having produced many Garth Brooks and Norah Jones CDs, ceased operation in 2004.

7" COMPACT 33?  Vinyl Record Album

"The compact 33 was an experimental (and short-lived) disc format of the early 1960s. The disc measures seven inches in diameter (45 sized), has a small center hole, and plays at 33-1/3 RPM. The format was used primarily for mono and stereo singles."

Original Paper sleeve intact but split and record is as shown in photos.

Condition is Used.
