Description
Various Artists: "California Christmas" (2 LP) 1981, Italy/Penguin EGG SIX/SEVEN. Discs are both M-, they look unplayed! Gatefold cover has some minor corner dings and a little split on the inside gatefold (looks like a manufacturing error as the split is at the top of the spine, not in the center, and is only on the inside of the jacket; see pics), the cover gets an EX grade. RARE black vinyl numbered 1st edition of this amazing collection; how an Italian label got their hands on material of this calibre this early in the game is quite a mystery... but here it is, and you can hear Moby Grape play "Dark Magic" at the Avalon in 1967 and The Grateful Dead play "Turn On Your Lovelight" at the Carousel Ballroom in 1969 with Janis Joplin, and some rare early Jefferson Airplane and Steve Miller and Quicksilver Messenger Service and Country Joe & The Fish and The Charlatans and The Byrds, all in quite good sound. That said, it's a boot, so don't expect audiophile pressing quality! The Penguin label did a few LPs in this series (California Christmas, California Easter and California Acid Folk) and I think this is the toughest one to find. This is only the second copy I've ever seen.

I ship all records in strong cardboard mailers with cardboard flats added to increase stability. The discs are always removed from the jackets to prevent seam splits, and all albums are dressed in plastic sleeves for travel. Please be aware that these supplies are expensive to purchase and may represent a small portion of my shipping charges. I pack/ship one day per week, usually it is Friday.

USA: I can send this LP to you by Media Mail for $5.00, or by Priority Mail, which will be calculated after the auction using your zip code. Most of my customers prefer Media Mail because it is very cheap. Please keep in mind that it's cheap because it is SLOW. I have had Media Mail boxes take two months to travel cross-country.
CANADA: If you are in Canada, I can send this LP to you by 1st Class Airmail for $18.50. This service offers no tracking. If you want online tracking, ask me about mailing options.
EVERYWHERE ELSE: If you are not in the USA or Canada, I can send this LP to you by 1st Class Airmail for $25.00. This service offers no tracking. If you want online tracking, ask me about mailing options.
Note to International buyers: I DO NOT USE EBAY's GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM. Rest assured that your Customs forms will be processed by me and your package will be postmarked/mailed at my local Post Office. If you are unable to bid on my auctions, send me an email and I will try to fix the problem.
