Description

Cabaret Voltaire - 3 x UK Original Rough Trade 7" Singles

This is three UK original Cabaret Voltaire "Rough Trade" 7" Singles. They are all UK first pressings which have a Picture Sleeve. The single look to be near unplayed! Three great late 1970's Industrial/ Post-Punk 7" Singles. These are not that common. I have listed & graded them individually below:

1. Extended Play
(Rough Trade RT 003 UK 7" EP 1978

This is a 1978 UK original 7" EP. It has a side opening Picture Sleeve which is printed on matt card. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has white paper "Rough Trade" labels. These have a solid centre. The record has 1st press A2/ B2 matrix stampers. "2nd TIME FUNAROUND" is etched in the dead wax on Side 1. "THE CABS ARE FAB" is etched in the dead wax on Side 2. This is a 4 track EP.

Sleeve: There is light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the spine, top and bottom edges on some areas. There is a very minor bit of foxing of the front. There is mild or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear. There are no seam splits. Very Good condition

Vinyl: Looks to be very near unplayed! There are a very few light or very minor sleeve rubs which can barely be seen under a strong light. The sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on a few areas. These are mainly on the outer dead wax edges. A strong Excellent condition. The labels are in Near Mint condition & show next to no spindle wear. Plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall, & Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. Visually, this disc looks near unplayed! Therefore, any crackle is just due to deep down microscopic dirt in the grooves. The sound quality would be vastly improved after a deep down groove clean. It would, I believe, play Excellent+ or better.

2. Nag Nag Nag/ Is That Me (Finding Someone At The Door Again)
(Rough Trade RT 018 UK 7" EP 1979

This is a 1979 UK original 7" Single. It has a top opening Picture Sleeve which is printed on matt card. It has a rear flipback on both sides. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has white & red striped paper "Rough Trade" labels. These have a solid centre. The record has 1st press A1/ B1 matrix stampers. "A Porky Prime Cut" is etched in the dead wax on the A-side.

Sleeve: There is light, very mild or very minor rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is a small area of foxing on the front. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. There are no seam splits. Very Good++ condition

Vinyl: Looks to be very near unplayed! There are a very few light or very minor sleeve rubs which can barely be seen under a strong light. The sleeve, over time, has left some light or very minor dull surface marks on a few areas. These, again, can barely be seen under a strong light. A strong Excellent+ condition.

3. Silent Command/ Extract From Soundtrack For "Chance Versus Casualty)
(Rough Trade RT 035 UK 7" EP 1979

This is a 1979 UK original 7" Single. It has a top opening Picture Sleeve which is printed on matt card. It has a rear flipback on both sides. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has custom paper "Rough Trade" labels. These have a solid centre. The record has 1st press A1/ B1 matrix stampers. "A Porky Prime Cut" is etched in the dead wax on the A-side.

Sleeve: There is light or very minor rubbing wear to the bottom edge, and both side edges, on a few areas. There is some light , mild or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is light, mild or very mild rubbing wear to the top opening edges on some areas. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. There are no seam splits. Very Good+ condition

Vinyl: Looks to be near unplayed! There are a very few light or very minor sleeve rubs which can barely be seen under a strong light. The sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on a few areas. These, again, can hardly be seen under a strong light. There is a very minor pressing "heat mark" that can be seen on both sides. This hardly notices under a strong light. Very Near Excellent condition. I shall place the single into a separate plain paper sleeve. This will protect the original Picture Sleeve from any damage during transit.
