Original AFRTS transcription LP RL‑35‑2, pairing Kenny Rogers & The First Edition’s *Ballad of Calico* with John McLaughlin’s Mahavishnu Orchestra *Inner Mounting Flame*. Produced exclusively for U.S. service members and distributed to bases worldwide, AFRTS discs were never sold commercially. Collectors prize these for their scarcity and unusual pairings — here contrasting Rogers’ country‑rock concept album with Mahavishnu’s pioneering jazz fusion. A strong VG+ example with clean gloss and intact AFRTS sleeve.

Playback is clean overall, with faint surface noise and occasional pops, most noticeable at the start of Side 1 and along the perimeter of Side 2. AFRTS pressings are known for minor factory flaws and often play better on higher‑end equipment. Labels show light ink wear and faint discoloration.
