In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original micro-promotional only super-rarity of interesting West Coast-styled psych sounds
PEPPER TREE were a interesting hippie crew that sported a capitvating female vocalist (Penny MacAuley). The band got together in the late '60s and due to their impact sound, were quickly signed by major label Capitol Records where they released their first (and only retail) album, "You're My People" which, like so many other great 'head band' albums, went under the radar of the happening teen scene. This was due in part to poor promotion by Capitol, resulting in poor album sales and the group were uncerimoniously cut by the major label spelling the end of the line of Pepper Tree - or so we thought ... Apparently, PEPPER TREE recorded tracks for a self financed second album, but one thing led to another and the album was never completed...BUT luckily, around 1971, the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) issued a micro-pressing LP issued ONLY to radio stations containing tracks that were to be on the groups second album. Despite the fact the Pepper Tree only recorded enough tracks to fill one side of an album, the material presented on this CBC Lp is greatly rewarding, surpassing anything on their Capitol album, the group stepped up their sound steeped in outstanding West Coast styles. Thus, the material featured is guaranteed to wind up the motor in collectors who seek the West Coast psych sound, particularly those with male/female vocal trade offs, Hammond organ and ear bending fuzz guitar injections ... Whatever the case this radio only Lp is insanely rare ... Pepper Tree hailed from Nova Scotia and was formed in 1967. After a few years of saturating the club scene in Canada, the band finally landed a contract with Capitol Records in 1969. Producer, Jack Richardson, was drafted to produce a single which saw the band charting in their native country. Lineup changes ensued over the next year, until "You're My People" hit store shelves in 1971. The album was a solid mix of folk, poprock, prog and organ driven hard rock. With stellar harmonies and a real wealth of musical diversity... there are naturally some refrences or traces left from the late 60's and the 'Summer of Love', in some of the lyrics. The music is absolutely brilliant. Clearly very talented musicians featuring cool Hammond organ and fine guitar playing with a nice twist in sporting a general drive/groove in the music. Highlights include "Message" which sounds straight off of "Neighb'rhood Children's album, or any other top tier West Coast 'head band' of the era ...a catchy tune with the 'right' sound, soaring female/male harmonies, swirl hammond organ and ripping fuzz guitar ...elsewhere "The Blue Caravan" is another West Coast sound as noted above, a killer psych nugget that not only holds an infectious groove but is topped off with gushing organ and killer fuzz guitar... Spinning 180 degrees, "The Gypsy" sounds like something from peak era Sandy Denny Fairport Convention with Penny sporting a fabulous moody folk-psych number, unleashing a several octave vocal performance ... CONDITION: The Cover: Thin papoer custom designed cover is in remarkable shape, being VG++ in the fact that the cover is so fragile ... there are to be expected light crinkles at corners, but nothing overall to keep anyone interested from puttig it down ...
