Subbuteo’s Pop Stars Miniatures Series

“The Beatles”.

Advertised on the back of the Subbuteo Companion Games catalogue of October 1964 as the first in a series, although to my knowledge there were never ever any further pop stars produced, this was a major personal coup for Peter Adolph gaining the exclusive manufacturing rights, approved by the Fab Four, and the story goes that he met them early in their career, and got the deal before they'd become really famous and this is now regarded as the most valuable set ever made by Peter Adolph's Subbuteo company. This is a stunning example and is complete in its original box the models of Paul, George, & John appear to be in super condition with little if anything to fault them, likewise is the model of Ringo, with both his drumsticks intact, the drum kit is complete but is delicate and there are just very minor signs of its age & not being perfect but really this is being extremely hard on it. Likewise the box has only minor signs of age related wear and the cellophane is intact, you should be in doubt this is an exceptional example of this extremely rare & collectable set.
