Buffalo Rare OZ LP Volcanic rock EX ’73 Vertigo Swirl + insert Prog Hard Rock
Rare Original 1st Press OZ LP released in 1973 on the Vertigo Swirl Label. Cat: 6357101-1. Comes in gatefold sleeve. Comes with original foldout lyric insert which has a few light marks and is in Excellent condition.
Record has been cleaned on a Pro-ject VC-S2 Record Cleaning machine and listened through for quality.
This is the album that established the band’s reputation for dispensing uncompromising heavy psych rock. It was this LP that established the classic line-up of: vocalist Dave Tice (who later joined UK R&B band The Count Bishops), guitarist John Baxter, bass player Pete Wells (who later switched to slide guitar in another legendary Aussie band: Rose Tattoo), and drummer Jimmy Economou.
Tracks : Sunrise (come my way)/ Freedom/ Till my death/ The prophet/ i) intro : Pound of flesh ii) Shylock. There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and a few very light scratches that cause a few light crackles, mostly noticeable between tracks and is in Excellent condition. Gatefold cover has light ring wear, a few small surface tears on spine and top edge and minor scuffing on corners and is in VG+ condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
