Description

  • Hard to find Crickets (Buddy Holly) 1958 Brunswick US original 78 RPM record “Oh Boy” b/w “Not Fade Away” (Brunswick 55035).
  • By 1958 the record companies were phasing out 78 RPM records in favor of 45s so there were not many sold in this format.
  • The record retains most of the original gloss with a few surface scuffs and other light marks. There are a few small chips at the leading edge dead wax that does not touch any of the music grooves and does not at all affect the playback (I played it to make sure). You should expect some surface noise but it is not overwhelming and for the most part the record plays crisp and clear. The labels are in excellent condition.
