This is a 1958 sample copy of Buddy Holly's Rave On b/w Take Your Time Coral 9-61985
The picture was lightened so you could see the imperfections more easily. White spots are dust.

Mint (M) Absolutely perfect.
Near Mint Plus (NM+) I see no imperfections
Near Mint (NM) Near perfect. No more than a few contact marks from a paper sleeve or minor label wear
Near Mint Minus (NM-) Possibly several contact marks from a paper sleeve and/or slight label imperfections.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) May have the lightest of scratches. Minimal surface noise.
Very Good Plus (VG+) May have light scratches, label may show signs of ring wear, some surface noise.
Very Good (VG) Will have noticeable surface noise. Will have scratches that affect the sound. Groove wear may start to be noticeable. Ring wear is most likely evident.
Good Plus (G+) Plays with out skipping. Serious scratches and/or writing on the label.
Good (G) Plays with out skipping-barely. Serious background noise. Serious label wear or defacement. Vinyl is possibly chipped.
Good Minus (G-) May skip in a spot or two
