Buddy Holly Crickets LP The "Chirping" Crickets 1957 Original Pressing?? VG+/NM

This is an early copy of Buddy Holly and the Crickets first release, "The Chirping Crickets" (Brunswick BL54038). I am not 100% certain if it is the initial release in 1957. Interested collectors who know more than I do might be able to tell from my photos. I do know that it is a very early pressing as I bought it from a friend who was several years older than I am (I am 73). He told me he bought it as a teenager. The cover does seem to be textured. It is in Very Good Plus condition despite holes from 2 separate staples at the top corners. There is a seam split of about 1 inch at the top right corner. There is a slight bend at the lower left corner and a ding to the right side of the cover just below the guitar. There is also some wear at the lower right corner. The back cover shows a bit of ring wear against the dark background at the top left. There are a significant number of areas that have darkened slightly over the years. If all this sounds overwhelming, I would still call this Very Good Plus as it still appears to be quite nice. The LP itself is in Near Mint condition and hasn't been played more than 3 times. (My friend said he played it once and I know I played it no more than twice). On the label on side 1 there is a nearly unnoticeable name written, "Marge", which the name of my friend's wife. I guarantee the authenticity of this item. I accept returns no questions asked.
I am a retiree and am cleaning out my closets. I have enjoyed the many things I have collected over the years, but it is time to part with most of them.
